Weston Bath

One of the final projects for this Weston couple was the renovation of their master bath. The general layout was efficient and functional, but the look did not reflect the rest of their home. The project had three main objectives: update the overall look of the bathroom, add radiant heating, and replace the existing cave-like shower.

The new, large arched shower opening reflects the same arched detail in the vanity mirror directly in front of it. The countertops were finished with a rock edge, the granite vessel sinks were finished on the inside and left natural and rough on the outside, and oil-rubbed bronze lighting and plumbing fixtures add warmth.

Custom cabinets were finished with a three-step process: the maple wood was painted, hand-rubbed with a mahogany glaze, and finished with a technique that burns off the paint and glaze in small, random spots to reveal the natural wood.

The conservation lands surrounding the home afford a natural privacy, so Nicole used the woven blinds to add color and texture to the windows without losing sunlight.

The final result was a sun-filled Mediterranean bathroom that delighted with details.
