This loft offered a 2,200-square-foot open floor plan and a large roof deck with views of the city. It was the ideal place for entertaining for this successful real estate attorney. Nicole selected materials that would hold their own against the loft's strong features—leather and cashmere upholsteries, bamboo wall coverings, and mohair window treatments. She combined black grass cloth with a steel-and-white lacquer coat rack in the foyer to create a striking entry piece.
In the kitchen, a Jeup buffet and shelves act as a bar, while two cashmere-covered club chairs and a custom metal coffee table can transition from an intimate reading area to additional seating for social gatherings. A custom cold-rolled steel loft door leads to the open-plan master bedroom and bath. To create screening between the bedroom and bath, Nicole designed a custom metal planter filled with birch branches.
